Cacao banana superfood balls

Variation on a familiar theme, these raw food balls are an easy and nutritious idea for breakfast or morning snacks. Chia seeds are a great addition to breakfast as they are higher in potassium than bananas and contain more calcium than milk!

Healing ingredients: 

Banana: High in fibre, iron, protein B6 and B12, bananas are a perfect breakfast ingredient to kick start the day.

Dates:A healthy and vitamin rich alternative to sugars and sweeteners, dates are a good source of fiber.

Cacao: High in magnesium, antioxidants and essential minerals, cacao is a source of calcium, iron and zinc.

Chia Seeds: High in dietary fibre, Omega 3 and protein, chia seeds also contain five times more calcium than milk, and seven times more vitamin C than oranges!


5 organic, dehydrated whole bananas, chopped

5 organic medjool dates, chopped

2 tablespoons cold pressed coconut oil

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1/3 cup desiccated coconut

1/3 cup cacao powder (add more to taste)

1 pinch himalayan salt


Blend the bananas, dates and coconut oil until a thick paste forms

Add the cacao powder and salt, blend until combined

Add the chia seeds, cacao powder and coconut

Roll the mixture into small balls, and refrigerate for one hour.
